For a flat rate of $70 (up to 10 people), you can see the following:
- Equator (Mitad del Mundo)
- La Basilica
- La Ronda
This six-hour tour contains everything you would want to see in Quito and around. Guided by your friendly and trilingual tour guide, Rod Pilagonia, you will see the best four sites in Quito all in one day at a reasonable rate.
One of the biggest draws of visiting Quito is the close proximity to the Equator. Come stand in two hemispheres at the same time, and learn about the amazing effects that the Equator has on science. Will you be able to balance the egg on the nail?
The view from the TeleferiQo is breathtaking, and it allows you to see how massive Quito actually is. From the top it is possible to hike to the top of Guagua Pichincha (the volcano) but it takes about 5-6 hours, so you won’t have time on the tour to do so. You can peruse the trail though, and while it is quite cold, the view is spectacular.
The Basilica is one of the most impressive churches in South America. It was constructed in the late 19th century, and visitors can climb up to the top of the spires to admire the view of the city and the Panecillo.
